Job Description
Trackmen shall be required to work outside in all weather conditions. This work is hard labor and requires a good physical strong candidate. A willingness to work hard and learn is of prime importance. Some track experience is helpful. Trackmen will perform all maintenance and construction of track, such as replacing of ties, ballast, switch repair, etc. Trackmen are required to use hand tools, such as spike mauls, claw bars, rail saw, rail drill or any tools required. Trackmen must work safely around tracks and moving equipment. Trackmen are subject to work outside of their tour of duty. Experience working in trackwork or construction. Prior railroad experience is preferred. Good physical condition and the ability to lift 75lbs. Candidates must possess a vaild driver's license. Ability to work well with others. Candidates must be able to read, write, speak and understand the english language. Successful candidates must complete a pre-employment physical and drug screen and undergo a criminal background check.  <12-14-06>
